Former FIFA President Joseph Blatter, who is still being tried on charges of fraud, stated in court: "This is not me, when it comes to falsification, lies and disappointment, these things have never been a part of my life. We have family values, we only take what we have earned." Former FIFA President Blatter (89 years old) appeared in court with UEFA President Michele Platini over the allegation that he paid 2 million francs to Platini in 2011. Before entering the building of the appeals court, which belongs to the criminal court of Switzerland not far from Basel, Blatter told reporters: "I am very optimistic, today I am innocent."
