The Director of the Department of Health of Abu Dhabi, Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, participated in a discussion on the topic 'The Future of Health: transforming the understanding of well-being with the use of intelligent technologies.' The event took place at the pavilion of the United Arab Emirates at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.
The discussion focused on the leading role of international cooperation in strengthening global health systems through responsive technologies and innovations, including the use of artificial intelligence, data analysis, and digital transformation to create more predictive health systems that ensure personalized care and advanced medical services for all members of society.
At the session, according to Mansouri, the Minister of Health of Italy, Professor Oracio Scillaci, Joseph Romanelli, head of the international health department of WHO from Switzerland, and Christoph Weber, implementation director of Takeda from Japan, participated.
Mansouri emphasized the vast possibilities of artificial intelligence in data processing and extracting actionable insights, highlighting the importance of equitable access to these data on a global level and achieving maximum benefit from innovative solutions based on their analysis.
He also noted that advancements in the field of artificial intelligence signify not only the creation of more intelligent and effective tools for data processing but also the transformation of this knowledge into concrete applications.
Mansouri stressed the obligation of Abu Dhabi to strengthen international cooperation as a foundational principle of its health strategy and also presented initiatives aimed at collective operational work of health systems in the emirate with their partners worldwide to address common challenges and stimulate responsive innovative development, developing sustainable health models that meet the diverse needs of various communities.
Mansouri emphasized the significance of global cooperation in building flexible health systems that serve all population groups and called on participants to join the Global Health Week of Abu Dhabi scheduled for April 2025 under the slogan 'Towards a New Life: New Understanding of Health and Well-being,' gathering world leaders for unifying efforts to strengthen partnerships and studying specific actionable health solutions using available technological capabilities to improve health outcomes and support health and well-being at the global level.
