Sotheby's will hold an auction on November 12 during Geneva's Luxury Week. The auction will feature a diamond-encrusted brooch that belonged to Napoleon Bonaparte. This brooch, estimated at €130,000–220,000, was part of the personal belongings the emperor was forced to abandon while fleeing British and Prussian soldiers after the famous battle. At the center of the circular brooch, which is about 45 mm in diameter, is a large oval diamond weighing 13.04 carats, surrounded by approximately 100 old-cut diamonds. Among the most prominent lots at Sotheby's auctions next week will be 'The Glowing Rose,' a vivid pink diamond weighing 10.08 carats, estimated at around $20 million. Next week in Geneva, public auctions will feature jewelry worth tens of millions of euros, as well as a Napoleon Bonaparte brooch-pin, looted during the Battle of Waterloo.
