Geneva, Dec 13. The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher, stated on Wednesday that the war in the Middle East is affecting aid supply routes, urging all parties to grant 'humanitarian exceptions.' Fletcher told journalists in Geneva: 'I fear that further escalation will damage other supply routes,' adding that he 'urges all parties to try to secure those routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, for the movement of our humanitarian aid and to ensure we get exemptions for our humanitarian supplies.'
