The company "Mondelēz", the material company of the Swiss chocolate brand "Toblerone", announced the suspension of sales of its branded product.
According to the company's information, the suspension is related to the potential risk of metal pieces being present in some packaging of the chocolate. It is currently unspecified how much of the production is subject to this risk.
"Mondelēz" calls on all consumers who have Toblerone products with certain release dates to return the products to the stores for a full refund.
"Quality and safety of production are priorities for us. We apologize for any inconveniences, but your health and safety are paramount to us," is quoted in the company's statement.
