Three-quarters of Swiss voters are expected to reject a new inheritance tax targeting the wealthy, according to a poll conducted before the upcoming public referendum on the matter later this month. According to the 'Tamedia/20 Minutes' media group, the percentage of opponents to the plan, proposed by the Young Socialists, has risen to 75%, up from 67% in a survey conducted a month ago. The proposal, scheduled for a national vote on November 30th, calls for a 50% inheritance tax on assets exceeding 50 million Swiss francs, with the revenue from this tax to be directed towards initiatives aimed at combating climate change.
