Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus informed staff in an internal memorandum that the organization plans to reduce expenses and shift health program priorities.
According to the director's words, it will be necessary to focus on more critically important areas for more effective resource utilization. This change, as he noted, is intended to make the organization's work more targeted and effective.
"We will need to make decisions that will not always be popular or straightforward, but they are aimed at ensuring the best results for those we serve," emphasized Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
These changes will be implemented in the coming months, and they include a reduction of certain programs and possible budget cuts for the World Health Organization.
