In his interview, he emphasized that the country needs additional measures to ensure its security. Süssli noted that the current capabilities of the Swiss army are insufficient to repel major aggression. According to him, this creates serious risks for national defense. He called for a rethinking of military strategy and an increase in defense spending. Previously, Switzerland adhered to a policy of neutrality, but recent events in Europe have forced it to reconsider its approaches to security.
